Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier relationships
- Develop and implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining service excellence
- Analyze transportation KPIs to identify efficiency improvements and implement data-driven solutions
- Lead a team of logistics professionals through mentorship and performance management
- Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain visibility
- Drive sustainability initiatives through electrification route planning and carbon footprint reduction
- Manage compliance with FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive transportation management experience
- Proven expertise in TMS implementation and logistics analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of multi-modal transportation (truck, rail, intermodal)
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or equivalent designation required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and logistics software (SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
- Valid CDL Class A license (preferred but not required)
