Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-modal transportation strategies reducing costs by 15%+ annually
- Manage a $25M+ carrier network through strategic negotiations and performance KPIs
- Oversee TMS optimization for 500+ daily shipments across 5 states
- Lead crisis management protocols for weather disruptions and port delays
- Develop sustainability initiatives targeting 30% carbon reduction by 2025
- Collaborate with customs brokers for seamless cross-border freight movement
- Mentor logistics analysts while implementing continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics management
- Proven expertise in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Oracle, or Blue Yonder)
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or CPIM designation required
- Advanced Excel skills with Power BI visualization experience
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat compliance
- Experience managing unionized warehouse and driver teams
- Track record of optimizing LTL/FTL routing with 3PL partners
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
