Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier compliance
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to reduce costs while improving delivery performance
- Manage relationships with key transportation partners and negotiate contracts with carriers
- Analyze transportation data to identify efficiency improvements and KPI enhancements
- Lead cross-departmental projects for warehouse-to-last-mile distribution integration
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Manage transportation budget and cost-control initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 7+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven expertise in TMS implementation and logistics technology
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision making
- Certification in CSCP or CTL highly desirable
- Experience managing multi-state distribution networks
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and crisis management skills
- Deep knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and transportation regulations
