- Manage fleet operations including driver scheduling, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with DOT regulations
- Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and route optimization
- Oversee third-party logistics partnerships and vendor performance management
- Implement sustainable transportation initiatives to reduce carbon footprint
- Lead cross-functional teams for complex logistics projects and crisis management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in transportation management with 2+ years in leadership
- Proven expertise in TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and route optimization software
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in logistics data interpretation
- Excellent negotiation skills for carrier contracts and rate agreements
- Professional certification (CSCP, CTL, or CPIM) preferred
- Valid Class A CDL license required
