Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, fleet management, and route optimization
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to reduce costs by 15% annually
- Manage relationships with 3PL providers, carriers, and key stakeholders
- Monitor KPIs including on-time delivery, cost per mile, and carrier performance
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transportation regulations
- Lead cross-functional projects implementing TMS/WMS technologies
- Conduct regular audits to identify process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation/logistics management with 3+ years in leadership
- Expert knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements
- Proven experience optimizing multi-modal transportation networks
- Advanced proficiency in logistics software (TMS/WMS) and data analytics
- Strong negotiation skills with carrier contracts and service level agreements
- Professional certification (CSCP, CTL, or CPIM) highly desirable
- Ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines
