This hybrid role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight in our state-of-the-art downtown facility.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-modal transportation strategies reducing costs by 15% while improving on-time delivery rates
- Oversee fleet operations including 120+ vehicles, driver management, and compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint through route optimization and alternative fuel adoption
- Develop relationships with 3PL partners, carriers, and port authorities to ensure seamless supply chain integration
- Manage $50M transportation budget with quarterly ROI analysis and cost-saving initiatives
- Implement predictive analytics for demand forecasting and capacity planning
- Mentor logistics team through performance reviews and professional development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in fleet operations leadership
- Proven expertise in TMS/WMS platforms (SAP TM, Oracle, or comparable systems)
- Strong FMCSA compliance knowledge and DOT regulations mastery
- Experience managing multi-modal transportation (drayage, rail, intermodal, last-mile)
- Data-driven decision-making with advanced Excel/Power BI skills
- PMP or CSCP certification strongly preferred
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with Fortune 500 client experience
