Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier coordination
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to reduce costs while improving delivery timelines
- Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage relationships with 3PL providers and negotiate contracts for optimal service levels
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing transportation projects and resolving operational challenges
- Prepare executive dashboards and KPI reports for senior leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years progressive experience in transportation management with multi-modal expertise
- Proven track record optimizing logistics networks and reducing transportation costs by 15%+
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Active)
- Expert knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety management systems
- Certifications in CSCP or CTL highly desirable
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing 15+ person teams
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with logistics data visualization tools
