Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including trucking, rail, and intermodal logistics
- Optimize routing and carrier management to reduce costs by 15-20%
- Implement and maintain TMS systems for real-time shipment tracking
- Lead cross-functional teams in warehouse, inventory, and distribution coordination
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transport regulations
- Analyze KPIs to improve delivery performance and reduce transit times
- Develop sustainable transportation initiatives to reduce carbon footprint
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience in transportation logistics management
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or CPIM designation preferred
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Manhattan Active)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in logistics data visualization
- Proven track record in carrier negotiations and contract management
