Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end transportation strategies for multi-modal shipments
- Manage a team of 12 logistics coordinators and drivers
- Negotiate contracts with carriers and vendors to secure competitive rates
- Oversee compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Develop KPIs for on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and fleet utilization
- Lead cross-functional projects to integrate TMS with warehouse operations
- Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business
- 8+ years of experience in transportation/logistics management
- CDL-A certification or equivalent industry credentials
- Expertise in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder)
- Proven track record in fleet optimization and route planning
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and BI tools
- OSHA Hazmat certification preferred
- Experience managing multi-state operations
