Nexus Logistics Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team in Chicago. In this role, you will oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company objectives.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
- Oversee inventory management, monitor stock levels, and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Optimize warehouse, distribution, and transportation processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management or logistics.
- Proven proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of inventory management, freight forwarding, and international shipping regulations.
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) is highly preferred.
