Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to optimize total cost of ownership.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations for long-term service agreements and raw material contracts.
- Manage and cultivate strategic partnerships with key vendors to ensure supply chain resilience.
- Analyze complex market trends and commodity pricing to forecast and mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure supplier compliance with rigorous standards.
- Implement advanced procurement technologies and automated workflows to increase departmental efficiency.
- Drive corporate sustainability goals through ethical sourcing and carbon-footprint reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in strategic purchasing or category management.
- Proven track record of delivering 10% or higher year-over-year cost savings in a manufacturing context.
- Expert-level proficiency in SAP S/4HANA or similar enterprise ERP systems.
- Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or MCIPS.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable procurement strategies.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (Mandarin or German) are a distinct advantage.
