Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and qualify new suppliers, ensuring robust supply chain continuity and competitive advantage.
- Lead complex negotiations with vendors to secure optimal terms, pricing, and service levels, driving significant cost savings and value creation.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, evaluate supplier performance, and monitor industry trends to inform procurement strategies and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance teams to understand material requirements and support new product development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing practices and corporate social responsibility guidelines across the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or purchasing within a complex organizational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and spend analysis.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Certification such as C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) is highly preferred.
