Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in the daily management, planning, and execution of the kitchen.
- Oversee food preparation and plating standards during service to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies efficiently, and minimize food waste to optimize operational costs.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Develop seasonal menus and signature specials that align with current culinary trends and guest preferences.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in a high-volume, fine-dining restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of modern cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient sourcing.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Passion for sustainability and local sourcing is highly preferred.
