Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier relationships
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans reducing costs by 15% while improving delivery speed
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing transportation technology initiatives
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transportation regulations
- Analyze transportation KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multimodal transportation networks (rail, truck, intermodal, air)
- Collaborate with procurement to optimize carrier contracts and service levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS/WMS platforms and transportation analytics tools
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and compliance frameworks
- Proven track record optimizing multimodal transportation networks
- Advanced data analysis skills with experience in logistics cost modeling
- Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership abilities
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation preferred
