Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations, including freight planning, dispatching, and delivery execution.
- Analyze operational data to optimize routes, reduce fuel consumption, and improve on-time delivery rates.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and company safety policies.
- Manage the logistics budget, including forecasting costs and negotiating with carriers and vendors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and drivers.
- Implement process improvements and new technologies to streamline workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in transportation management or logistics operations.
- Proven track record of managing fleets and supply chains in a high-volume environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
