Responsibilities
- Strategize, execute, and oversee all inbound and outbound transportation operations across regional hubs.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with freight carriers, 3PL partners, and equipment vendors to optimize spend.
- Implement and manage advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to drive automation and data visibility.
- Ensure strict compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and local transport regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of logistics coordinators, dispatchers, and analysts.
- Analyze key performance metrics (OTD, cost-per-mile, asset utilization) to continuously improve network throughput.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, fleet management, or logistics.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar freight and transportation budgets.
- Deep expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., OTM, MercuryGate, or SAP) and route optimization software.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel for logistics modeling.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills with carriers and stakeholders.
