Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and last-mile delivery management.
- Analyze supply chain KPIs and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement strategic solutions for optimization.
- Negotiate favorable contracts with carriers, 3PL providers, and vendors to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and drivers.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including sales and procurement, to forecast demand and manage inventory flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics operations or supply chain management.
- Proven experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and transportation management software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on stakeholder management.
- Professional certification (e.g., CLM, CSCP) is a plus.
