- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including LTL, FTL, and intermodal shipments
- Develop and execute strategic logistics plans with 25% cost reduction targets
- Manage relationships with 50+ carriers and negotiate service contracts
- Implement TMS optimization and real-time tracking systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in warehouse and distribution center coordination
- Analyze KPIs to ensure 99.5% on-time delivery performance
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation/logistics management with 3+ in leadership
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and data analytics
- Proven track record in carrier contract negotiations and rate optimization
- Strong knowledge of Midwest transportation corridors and infrastructure
- PMP or CSCP certification required
- Experience managing multi-million dollar transportation budgets
