Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight, fleet management, and carrier relationships
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to improve efficiency and reduce carbon footprint
- Analyze transportation data using advanced analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage compliance with FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex logistics challenges
- Optimize multi-modal transportation networks (rail, truck, air, intermodal)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through KPI monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 10+ years progressive transportation management experience
- Proven expertise in multi-modal transportation and fleet optimization
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Oracle, etc.)
- FMCSA compliance and DOT regulations expertise
- Advanced knowledge of transportation economics and cost modeling
- PMP or CSCP certification preferred
- Experience leading teams in fast-paced logistics environments
