Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations, including fleet dispatching, route planning, and load management.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize routes, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize delivery times.
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
- Manage a team of dispatchers and drivers, providing mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular fleet maintenance audits to ensure vehicles are road-ready and compliant.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in logistics efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve delivery issues and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation management, fleet management, or logistics coordination.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets.
- Strong knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards (DOT/FMCSA).
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar TMS platforms) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-pressure decisions quickly.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
