Responsibilities
- Develop and execute transportation strategies to optimize fleet utilization and reduce operational costs by 15% annually
- Manage a team of 15+ logistics professionals through performance coaching and talent development programs
- Oversee multimodal transportation networks including truck, rail, and last-mile delivery solutions
- Implement and maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through data analytics and process automation
- Negotiate contracts with carriers and vendors to achieve cost-effective service levels
- Collaborate with supply chain partners on sustainability initiatives and carbon reduction targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive transportation management experience with multi-modal operations
- Proven track record of managing fleets exceeding 100 vehicles and $50M annual budgets
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and transportation analytics tools
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and international shipping regulations
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or similar designation required
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing remote teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools
