Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, last-mile delivery, and cross-border compliance
- Develop and execute multimodal transportation strategies reducing carbon footprint by 15% annually
- Manage carrier relationships with 50+ partners negotiating contracts and service level agreements
- Implement TMS optimization tools achieving 99.8% on-time delivery performance
- Lead cross-functional teams of 12+ logistics professionals
- Conduct quarterly transportation audits ensuring FMCSA and DOT compliance
- Present executive dashboards with KPIs including cost per mile, asset utilization, and sustainability metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation management with 3+ in leadership
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Expertise in TMS platforms (Oracle, Blue Yonder, or Manhattan Active)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Power BI
- Proven track record reducing transportation costs by 12%+
