Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end transportation strategies across rail, truck, and air freight networks
- Manage a $25M annual transportation budget while achieving 15% cost reduction targets
- Oversee carrier relationships with top-tier providers (FedEx, UPS, CSX, BNSF)
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing TMS system upgrades and AI-driven route planning
- Ensure 100% compliance with FMCSA, EPA, and international transport regulations
- Develop KPI dashboards tracking on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and carbon footprint
- Coordinate crisis management protocols for weather disruptions and supply chain emergencies
Qualifications
- 10+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics with 5+ years in management
- Proven expertise in multi-modal transportation systems and TMS implementation
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or CPIM designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in transportation analytics tools (Tableau, SAP TM)
- Strong negotiation skills with major carriers and 3PL providers
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $20M with measurable ROI results
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (MBA preferred)
- Ability to obtain TWIC and hazardous materials handling certifications
