Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, fleet management, and last-mile delivery
- Develop and implement cost-effective routing strategies using advanced TMS platforms
- Analyze KPIs to improve on-time delivery rates and reduce freight spend by 15%+
- Lead cross-functional teams in carrier negotiations and contract management
- Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint through route optimization and alternative fuel adoption
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transport regulations
- Collaborate with sales to design customized logistics solutions for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation/logistics with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in multi-modal transportation (rail, truck, air, intermodal)
- Advanced proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Oracle, Blue Yonder)
- Proven track record in reducing transportation costs while improving service levels
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making experience
- Professional certification (CSCP, CTL, or CPIM) highly desirable
- Experience managing teams of 10+ logistics professionals
