Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-modal transportation strategies across rail, road, and air networks
- Manage vendor relationships with 3PLs and carriers to ensure service excellence
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex logistics challenges
- Analyze KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transport regulations
- Drive sustainability projects to reduce carbon footprint by 25% annually
- Oversee budget management for multi-million dollar transportation operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3PL or carrier experience
- Expertise in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Oracle) and route optimization
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of reducing transportation costs by 15-20%
- Certification in CSCP, CTL, or CPIM highly desirable
- Experience managing cross-border NAFTA/USMCA shipments
