Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-modal transportation strategies across 15+ states
- Lead cross-functional teams of dispatchers, route planners, and compliance specialists
- Optimize freight spend through carrier negotiations and dynamic routing algorithms
- Implement IoT telematics solutions for real-time fleet monitoring and predictive maintenance
- Develop sustainability initiatives reducing transportation emissions by 20% annually
- Manage multimodal shipping including rail, intermodal, and last-mile delivery networks
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and hazardous materials handling protocols
Qualifications
- 8+ years in transportation logistics with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or Oracle) and route optimization tools
- Proven experience reducing freight costs by 15%+ while maintaining on-time delivery rates
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or equivalent industry credential
- Advanced data analytics skills with SQL and transportation modeling software
- Strong background in negotiating multi-million dollar carrier contracts
- Deep knowledge of ELD compliance, Hours of Service regulations, and CSA scoring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration required
