Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, fleet management, and last-mile delivery
- Optimize routing and carrier relationships to achieve 99%+ on-time delivery rates
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies through data analytics and process innovation
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transportation regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex logistics challenges and service disruptions
- Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint through modal optimization
- Manage $50M+ annual transportation budget with 10%+ year-over-year improvement targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics with 3+ in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record reducing transportation costs by 15%+ while improving service levels
- Strong knowledge of multi-modal transportation (rail, air, ocean, drayage)
- Professional certifications (CSCP, CTL, or CPIM) highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable strategies
- Experience managing remote teams and third-party logistics partnerships
