Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, drayage, and intermodal routing
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans reducing costs by 10-15% annually
- Manage relationships with 50+ carrier partners through contract negotiations and performance KPIs
- Lead cross-functional teams including dispatchers, warehouse supervisors, and procurement specialists
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transport regulations
- Drive sustainability initiatives including route optimization and alternative fuel adoption
- Analyze transportation data using Power BI to identify improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership
- Proven track record optimizing multi-modal freight networks in high-volume operations
- Expert knowledge of TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in transportation cost modeling
- FMCSA certification and Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
