Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end transportation strategies optimizing cost, speed, and sustainability
- Manage relationships with 3PL providers, carriers, and key logistics partners
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex logistical challenges and disruptions
- Analyze KPIs and implement data-driven improvements to transportation networks
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
- Develop annual transportation budgets and deliver 15%+ cost reduction targets
- Oversee technology implementations in TMS, route optimization, and IoT tracking systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in multi-modal transportation (rail, truck, air, ocean)
- Proven track record of optimizing complex logistics networks
- Advanced proficiency in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder)
- Certification in CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills with experience in route optimization and cost modeling
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
