Responsibilities
- Design and optimize multi-modal transportation networks (rail, road, air, sea) for maximum efficiency
- Manage fleet operations and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery
- Implement IoT and AI-driven tracking systems for real-time shipment visibility
- Develop cost-reduction strategies through route optimization and load consolidation
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transport regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams in logistics planning and execution
- Analyze KPIs to identify performance gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder)
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or equivalent certification
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools
- Experience managing multi-million dollar transportation budgets
- Demonstrated success in reducing freight costs by 15%+
- Excellent negotiation skills with carriers and vendors
