Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-modal transportation strategies across 3PL and direct carrier networks
- Manage $15M+ annual freight budget with quarterly cost-reduction targets
- Oversee TMS implementation and optimization for 200+ daily shipments
- Lead crisis management for transit disruptions and customs compliance
- Develop KPI dashboards tracking on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and carbon footprint
- Negotiate contracts with 15+ carrier partners and maintain compliance
- Mentor junior logistics analysts and conduct quarterly process audits
Qualifications
- 8+ years in transportation/logistics with 3+ years in management
- Expert knowledge of FTL/LTL regulations and cross-border shipping
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or SAP TM)
- CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
- Advanced Excel/Power BI skills for freight analytics
- OSHA 30-hour and hazardous materials handling certification
- Proven experience reducing transportation costs by 15%+
- Strong vendor negotiation and contract management abilities
