Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including freight brokerage, fleet management, and route optimization
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to reduce costs by 15-20% annually
- Lead cross-functional teams of 12+ logistics professionals and contractors
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL partners and carriers
- Analyze KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives using TMS platforms
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
- Drive sustainability initiatives through modal shift optimization and carbon footprint reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation/logistics management
- Expert proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Associates, SAP)
- Proven track record of managing multimodal transportation networks
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost modeling and route optimization
- FMCSA compliance certification and DOT regulations expertise
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Advanced data literacy and experience with logistics analytics tools
