Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end transportation strategies optimizing cost, speed, and sustainability
- Lead cross-functional teams in route planning, carrier negotiations, and freight procurement
- Analyze logistics data using advanced tools to identify bottlenecks and performance improvements
- Manage relationships with key transportation partners including rail, air, and ocean carriers
- Oversee compliance with FMCSA regulations and industry safety standards
- Develop KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks for operational transparency
- Mentor junior logistics professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation logistics with 3+ in leadership
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder, Oracle) and data analytics tools
- Proven track record of optimizing multi-modal transportation networks
- Strong negotiation skills with carrier contracts and freight procurement
- Certifications in Logistics Management (CSCP, CTL) preferred
- Deep knowledge of FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
