Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including FTL, LTL, and intermodal shipments
- Develop and implement cost-optimization strategies for freight networks
- Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and key stakeholders
- Analyze KPIs (OTD, TAT, cost per mile) and generate executive dashboards
- Lead cross-functional teams in transportation technology implementations
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international trade regulations
- Drive sustainability initiatives in route optimization and carbon footprint reduction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle TMS, Blue Yonder)
- Proven track record in carrier contract negotiations and rate optimization
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools
- Certification in CSCP or CTL preferred
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $20M annually
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in high-pressure scenarios
