Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations across rail, truck, and intermodal channels
- Develop and implement cost-efficient routing strategies using AI-powered logistics platforms
- Manage fleet performance, maintenance scheduling, and driver compliance programs
- Analyze KPIs to reduce transit times while improving on-time delivery rates
- Collaborate with procurement teams on carrier contract negotiations and rate optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams during peak season and disruption response
- Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon footprint by 15% annually
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with multi-modal experience
- Expertise in TMS platforms (SAP TM, Oracle Transportation Management)
- Proven track record of reducing transportation costs by 10-20%
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazardous materials compliance
- Advanced data analysis skills with Excel, SQL, and Tableau
- PMP or CSCP certification highly desirable
- Experience managing teams of 15+ logistics professionals
