Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-modal transportation networks serving 30+ states
- Lead cross-functional teams in optimizing freight spend and delivery times
- Implement AI-powered route optimization reducing fuel consumption by 15%
- Negotiate contracts with Tier-1 carriers for LTL, FTL, and intermodal services
- Develop KPI dashboards tracking on-time delivery, cost per mile, and carbon footprint
- Manage $50M+ annual transportation budget with quarterly variance analysis
- Oversee compliance with FMCSA, EPA, and international transport regulations
- Lead sustainability initiatives including EV fleet integration and route electrification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3+ in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (Blue Yonder, Oracle, or SAP)
- Proven experience reducing transportation costs by 20%+
- Strong analytical skills with SQL/Power BI proficiency
- FMCSA compliance certification and DOT safety training
- Experience negotiating multi-million dollar carrier contracts
- Knowledge of EV fleet deployment and sustainability regulations
