Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier relationships
- Lead implementation of AI-powered logistics platforms to enhance real-time tracking and predictive analytics
- Develop and execute sustainable transportation strategies aligning with ESG objectives
- Manage multimodal transportation networks (rail, trucking, intermodal) for 500+ daily shipments
- Drive continuous process improvements using Six Sigma methodologies
- Lead cross-functional teams of logistics coordinators and data analysts
- Negotiate contracts with major carriers and 3PL partners
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation management with multimodal expertise
- Proven track record implementing TMS/WMS systems and digital transformation projects
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in logistics optimization software
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or equivalent certification
- Experience managing teams of 10+ professionals in high-volume operations
- Deep knowledge of North American transportation networks and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making
