Responsibilities
- Design and optimize multimodal transportation networks combining rail, road, and sea freight
- Coordinate cross-border shipments ensuring compliance with EU customs and safety regulations
- Manage carrier relationships through strategic negotiations and performance monitoring
- Implement real-time tracking systems and provide proactive shipment status updates
- Develop contingency plans for port disruptions and weather-related delays
- Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains
- Maintain detailed documentation of shipments and regulatory compliance records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 5+ years experience in intermodal transportation coordination
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (SAP TM, Oracle Transportation Management preferred)
- Deep understanding of EU transport regulations (ADR, RID, IMDG)
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CPIM) or equivalent
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in route optimization modeling
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities during high-pressure scenarios
- Fluency in English and Dutch; additional European languages highly valued
