Responsibilities
- Strategic Route Planning: Develop and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency, minimize fuel consumption, and reduce delivery times.
- Data Analysis: Interpret complex logistics data to identify trends, forecast demand, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate third-party logistics (3PL) providers, negotiate contracts, and manage performance KPIs.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transportation activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with IT to enhance our Transportation Management System (TMS) and automate reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TMS software (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management) and advanced Excel/SQL skills.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data and translate metrics into operational improvements.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
