Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance & Reporting: Manage the end-to-end UK corporate tax compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filing with HMRC.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide expert tax planning advice to clients to optimize their tax positions within legal frameworks.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a team of 3-5 tax assistants and junior accountants, conducting regular performance reviews and training sessions.
  • Due Diligence: Lead tax due diligence projects for mergers and acquisitions, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and understanding their evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (Qualified by Experience is also considered).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate tax within a top-tier accounting firm or in-house finance department.
