Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications using advanced risk modeling tools and predictive analytics
- Develop tailored insurance solutions for mid-market clients across manufacturing, tech, and healthcare sectors
- Collaborate with actuaries and claims specialists to refine underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies
- Maintain compliance with state/federal regulations (NAIC, ACA) and internal risk protocols
- Mentor junior underwriters while implementing innovative underwriting automation workflows
- Present risk assessments to underwriting committees with data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- Expertise in ISO rating systems, risk scoring algorithms, and predictive modeling
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or AU) with ongoing CE credits
- Advanced proficiency in insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek) and SQL/Python
- Proven track record in portfolio profitability improvement and loss ratio optimization
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex datasets and market trends
