Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of corporate tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of multinational clients.
- Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies to optimize effective tax rates and mitigate risk.
- Manage end-to-end audit defense processes and resolve complex tax disputes with federal and state authorities.
- Provide expert advisory on M&A, cross-border transactions, and entity restructuring.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team of Tax Associates and Seniors, ensuring technical excellence.
- Stay ahead of global tax legislative changes and advise leadership on potential financial impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tax strategy into broader corporate financial goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation; CPA or Master’s in Taxation (MST) highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate tax within a public accounting firm or large corporate tax department.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and international tax regulations (ASC 740 proficiency required).
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-state and international tax compliance filings.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in coaching junior tax professionals.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical tax concepts for C-level stakeholders.
