Responsibilities
- Manage complex tax engagements for corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth clients.
- Lead tax provision (ASC 740) processes and review multi-state and federal tax returns.
- Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies to minimize client liabilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax audits and regulatory correspondence.
- Mentor and lead a team of tax associates, fostering professional development.
- Monitor legislative changes to advise clients on potential financial impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license is mandatory.
- Master’s degree in Taxation (MST) or JD is highly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting or large corporate tax department.
- In-depth technical knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax laws.
- Proficiency in tax research software (CCH, RIA Checkpoint) and tax preparation suites.
- Exceptional analytical, project management, and executive-level communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously.
