Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive tax strategies to optimize corporate tax liabilities.
- Manage end-to-end tax compliance for complex multi-state and international entities.
- Provide expert technical advice on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax associates, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients regarding complex tax advisory matters.
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
- Represent clients effectively during tax audits and regulatory inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation (MST) required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably within a public accounting firm.
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, and international tax principles.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex tax laws into actionable business insights.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing professional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in tax software such as GoSystem, CCH ProSystem fx, or BNA.
- Superior communication skills, with the ability to present complex strategies to C-suite stakeholders.
