Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive tax compliance and planning strategies for corporate and high-net-worth individual clients.
- Manage end-to-end tax provision processes, including ASC 740 reporting and deferred tax analysis.
- Provide expert technical guidance on federal, state, and local tax issues to minimize liability and maximize tax efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of tax associates and seniors.
- Direct complex tax audits and represent clients before tax authorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to integrate tax strategies into broader business objectives.
- Stay ahead of changing tax laws and legislation, providing proactive advice to clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred.
- CPA designation is strictly required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate tax within a top-tier accounting firm or complex corporate environment.
- Deep technical proficiency in multi-state and international tax frameworks.
- Proven track record in team leadership and client relationship management.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in tax research software (RIA Checkpoint, CCH) and tax preparation suites.
