Responsibilities
- Lead complex multi-state tax compliance projects and IRS audits
- Develop strategic tax planning for M&A transactions and restructurings
- Mentor junior staff through technical training and career development
- Build client relationships through proactive tax advisory consultations
- Research emerging tax legislation (e.g., SECURE Act 2.0) and implement solutions
- Manage tax provision accounting under ASC 740 standards
Qualifications
- CPA license with 7+ years of Big 4 or top-tier corporate tax experience
- Deep expertise in state and federal tax codes (IRC 162, 263A)
- Proven success managing tax teams of 5+ professionals
- Advanced proficiency in tax software (Vertex, ONESOURCE)
- JD or MST degree preferred for complex advisory roles
- Strong demonstrated skills in tax controversy resolution
