Responsibilities
- Lead complex federal, state, and local tax planning engagements for a diverse client base.
- Manage the end-to-end tax compliance process, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence for trusts, estates, and private entities.
- Provide proactive advisory services regarding tax-efficient investment structures and wealth transfer strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-stakes audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Mentor junior tax associates, fostering technical growth and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional wealth management teams to deliver holistic financial solutions.
- Monitor evolving tax legislation and author technical whitepapers for internal and client dissemination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation (MST) or JD/LLM highly preferred.
- Active CPA license required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in public accounting or a specialized tax boutique.
- Deep technical expertise in HNW individual, partnership, and trust taxation.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with tight deadlines in a client-facing environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of professional integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
