Responsibilities
- Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth clients and corporate entities.
- Manage the end-to-end tax return filing process, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide strategic advisory on tax structures, mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a team of tax associates and senior analysts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities during audits and inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional legal and wealth management teams to optimize client outcomes.
- Stay abreast of evolving federal, state, and local tax legislation to ensure proactive planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred).
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments.
- Deep expertise in US federal and multi-state tax regulations.
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes client relationships and complex project portfolios.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in tax research software (e.g., CCH, Checkpoint) and tax preparation platforms.
