Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate corporate tax returns for various entities, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies to optimize clients' tax positions.
- Conduct detailed tax research and analysis on new legislation and regulatory changes.
- Lead and review year-end accounts and tax computations for assurance clients.
- Manage relationships with HMRC and external advisors during audits and investigations.
- Mentor junior members of the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Prepare technical tax memos and presentations for client meetings.
Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA (ACCA/ACA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in UK tax (Corporate, VAT, and PAYE).
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation, including Finance Acts and Corporation Tax rules.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
