Nexus Global Logistics is seeking a strategic and data-driven Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Chicago. As we scale our distribution networks, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our end-to-end supply chain processes to drive efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance customer satisfaction.
You will work at the intersection of procurement, logistics, and technology, ensuring that our operations remain agile in a volatile global market.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply chain optimization initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Manage relationships with key global suppliers and logistics partners to ensure performance SLAs are met.
- Analyze demand planning data to accurately forecast inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
- Implement lean logistics methodologies to streamline warehouse and distribution center throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated supply chain management software.
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to executive leadership regarding supply chain health.
- Develop robust risk management protocols to navigate supply chain disruptions effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume supply chain operations or logistics management.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation and contract lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into strategy.
- Deep understanding of global trade regulations, Incoterms, and domestic transportation logistics.
- APICS (CSCP) or Six Sigma certification preferred.
